Seed Health Testing

CAD LLC Now NSHS accredited lab

Healthy seeds produce healthy plants. Seed-borne diseases often strike early in the growth of a plant causing poor crop establishment and reduced plant vigor, resulting in lower yields. Seed health testing is essential for the control of seedborne and seed-transmitted pathogens and for reducing risk of disease.

Infected seeds often have no visible symptoms, requiring laboratory testing for diagnosis. At CAD we use NSHS protocols to test for a wide range of bacterial, fungal, and viral seedborne pathogens.

We also perform seed germination and viability tests.
